Creative director Sarah Burton brought a theme of renewal to Alexander McQueen’s resort 2016 collection with a lineup of looks featuring floral blooms. Despite the light and feminine garden inspiration, it was not all romantic. Burton paired flared dresses with cropped leather jackets, mannish shoes and military inspired pieces for a contrast of hard and soft. The result was an almost grunge-inspired look for the resort season. Things get bejeweled for evening wear with sheer skirts and volume-filled gowns.
