For Alexander McQueen’s resort 2017 collection, Sarah Burton focused on embroidered styles with 1960’s inspired silhouettes and visions of rural England. From balloon shaped sleeves to A-line dresses and sculpted outerwear, the McQueen woman is all about balancing structure and femininity for the new season. Flowers embellish many of the looks ranging from hand-painted leather pieces to houndstooth prints overlaid with white blooms. For evening wear, sheer and embroidered gowns are lightweight yet regal.
