Sarah Burton looked to Scotland’s Shetland Islands for a wealth of inspiration with Alexander McQueen’s spring-summer 2017 show. The brand’s fall 2016 campaign was captured there by Jamie Hawkesworth. On the runway, Burton spun an elegant story including airy lace, sturdy leather, traditional plaid and cozy knitwear. Black leather bustiers paired with lace dresses were absolute standouts as were embellished gowns featuring scenes of nature with puffed sleeves. The McQueen woman finishes her look with a choker necklace and studded boots.
