God Save the Queen – For the August issue of Vogue Paris, model Anja Rubik channels two British style icons–the punk movement and the Queen of England. Photographer duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin capture the Polish beauty in a series of studio images featuring layered looks from the fall collections of Alexander McQueen, Chloe, Saint Laurent and many more. Emmanuelle Alt styled the blonde who wears a half painted face by makeup artist Lisa Butler and half-dyed hair courtesy of Christiaan.

Wow! Most creative editorial I’ve seen in a while – It really makes you look harder!
OMG!!! This is like out of the world stunning and magnificent!!
I saw this about two weeks ago or so and was blown away. It takes the right model to pull this off, Her poses are just PERFECT!!!!!! Amazing creative concept! At the same time not to over the top, still simple…The best in a LONG TIME.
WOW. great illustration inspiration.

I love this, finally some boundaries being pushed and creativity being explored. Interesting brief for a stylist and a model to work with. They did a great job.
Perfection!

I almost loved this editorial, but it felt like the styling got lazy (throw a jacket over the dress with the same boot = punk?).
