Nighttiming – Anja Rubik roams through the Paris streets in an elegant mix of masculine tailoring and feminine gowns for the May issue of Vogue Paris. In front of Mikael Jansson’s lens, Anja shines in sharp looks from the likes of Gucci, Lanvin and Louis Vuitton styled by fashion editor Anastasia Barbieri.

Well done for Anja and Mikael, the contrast between colors and the strict and classics Black & White are incredible. Its like two stories in one! ! Love it
I love Anja, she’s amazing, but this editorial just feels so.. ‘been there done that’. There’s nothing new, the French Vogue is slowly dying.

chique!
love the shot with the orange dress – but I agree with @Insuline, there isn’t much innovation in this, and it isn’t the best execution of the concept I’ve seen.

Beautiful! I love the mixture of black and white with color. And masculine/feminine!

Love the black & whites, the color ones don’t do it for me.

Adore the ones of Anja in gowns…but she looks over-elongated in the black-pant-suit shoots…
…and yes…sashaying alone in the midnight Paris…it’s cliche….
mayb this is inspired by the new Woody Allen movie…

*yawn*
Not anything groundbreaking, but I still love this. I would expect more French Vogue, though…

Really?
And people bitch about how skinny Anna Selezneva is. I don’t like this whatsoever.
yeah…I find this disturbing. at least Anna is athletic-skinny. :/

They can both do so much better.
i enjoy the editorial because Anja is in it, but I agree with most other comments, it seems like this has been done before. In my opinion, Emmanuelle has a way to go before her Vogue work gets to the level of Carrine. There are two things that really bother me about these photos, 1) Anja looks extremely thin (although, some of the photos definitely look like they have stretched her out, either in post or done with the angle and lens) and 2) The black and white shots look like they were shot at a high ISO, giving it a mildly cheap feel.
amazing!

I love skinny models. I love freja, I love ANNA S…..
ANJA has always been super skinny, but I think now this is too much….
She is like ABBEY LEE. Last year they were both amazing, and now we just don’t know what to think….
