Balenciaga unveils its summer 2024 campaign, a vibrant tableau that blurs the lines between personal connections and fashion innovation. Envisioned by creative director Demna, the leading brand’s campaign is as much a celebration of relationships as it is a showcase of avant-garde style.
Balenciaga Summer 2024 Campaign
Demna enlists a constellation of figures from his orbit: his mother, Ella, husband BFRND, mentor, Lina Loppa, and friends, including artist Eliza Douglas and actress Renata Litvinova. Runway models Simone Embrack and Bibi Hoad also round out the cast.
Following up its Closet campaign with Kim Kardashian, the looks put a focus on the season’s silhouettes. Each portrait, lensed by fine art photographer Jitka Hanzlová, is set against the opulent backdrops of luxurious halls, ballrooms, and mansion foyers, lending an air of grandeur to the ads.
The collection juxtaposes dress styles: casual bomber jackets float over elongated skirts, while sculpted outerwear asserts its presence with boxy silhouettes. Trench coats, a staple in outerwear, are reimagined with fluid tailoring that speaks to a fashion-forward audience.
Demna’s summer collection is an ode to the eclectic, combining the every day with the exceptional and the personal with the public.
