In fashion, there is always bound to be some similarities behind designers due to the very nature of clothing. But at the spring 2015 Balmain preview during Paris Fashion Week earlier today, the eagle eyes at VFiles spotted a white pantsuit  from the show that bares a striking resemblance to a look from Givenchy’s spring 1997 couture line designed by Alexander McQueen. The white color, torso cut-outs and cut of the suit in general are quite similar say the least. What do you think about the Balmain and Givenchy looks?

  1. Wow, Olivier Rousteing (of Balmain) has definitely copied Alexander McQueen for Givenchy. I hope that McQueen’s estate, or Givenchy, sues him for being such a downright copycat.

  2. There is a distinct difference between being “influenced by” someone else’s designs and straight up copying them. This dude just copied away. Nice originality.
