Bassike Resort – For it’s resort 2013-14 collection, Australian label Bassike found inspiration in the popular 1960s, Riviera style. The brand brought a modern approach to the theme with a play on proportion and bold pops of nautical stripes and polka dots in white, black, navy and red hues. Sporty shapes including sack dresses and drawstring trousers are anything but casual with materials such as textured leather, laminated fleece and mesh knits. The silhouette is given some edge with frayed hemlines that are seen throughout the whole collection of boxy shirt dresses, cool tanks and cutaway shorts.
