Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen is a British luxury fashion house founded by designer Alexander McQueen in 1992. The house's first collection caused shock because of its unique and controversial designs. McQueen later launched collections with names such as Highland Rape or Savage Beauty. During his time as a head designer, McQueen received an award of the "British Designer of the Year" four times between 1996 and 2003, making him and his
house well-known. The brand grew its stores from Los Angeles to Beijing.

On February 11, 2010, the fashion world were shocked at the news of McQueen’s suicide. Today, the brand is still making profitable sales and displaying their collections during Paris Fashion Week. The headquarters are located in London, United Kingdom with Kering as an owner. Sarah Burton became Alexander McQueen’s creative director in 2010. She designed Kate Middleton’s wedding dress for her wedding to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.
