Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel graces the March 2015 cover from Self Magazine, looking like a sun goddess in a sporty swimsuit look and volleyball in hand. Although the 26-year-old is at the top of her modeling career, the blonde beauty revealed to the magazine that she almost quit modeling at the age of 17. Candice talked about the pressures to lose weight and dealing with the lonely life of being young and not knowing anybody.
But then, she says her agent called to say that Victoria’s Secret wanted to sew her. “My agent said, ‘They want to see you. If you get the show, will you move to New York?’ I said, ‘If I got Victoria’s Secret, I’d do anything.’” And the rest is history.
