The December-January 2015.2016 issue of Harper’s Bazaar US takes a whimsical look at the resort collections with this editorial envisioned by global fashion director Carine Roitfeld. Entitled, ‘Pirates and Princesses’, the looks pair statement making hats with tailored styles. Made with creative direction by Stephen Gan, photographer Felix Cooper captured British actress Gabriella Wilde (who also stars in rag & bone’s fall campaign) alongside upcoming models.
Roitfeld says about the inspiration behind the shoot, “For this story I was inspired by pirates and princesses, part Vivienne Westwood fashion, and part fairy tale costume, like the ones seen on Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley in Pirates of the Caribbean… It is a dream of adventure and buried treasures full of diamonds worn on lovely girls: in this case, real-life Hollywood princess Gabriella Wilde, and my new girls Bentley, Ally Ertel, Cierra Skye, and Briley Jones.”
