Celine unveils Zouzou, the latest gem in its esteemed Haute Parfumerie line, capturing the essence of free-spirited youth. The advertising campaign features Esther-Rose McGregor, lensed by the creative direction of Hedi Slimane.
After previously modeling for the Celine Tomboy collection, the daughter of celebrated actor Ewan McGregor dazzles in the shot. In the campaign, the blonde with short hair shimmers in a gold ensemble, complementing her striking pixie cut, as she poses with an oversized replica of the Zouzou perfume bottle.
Celine Zouzou Perfume Ad
The name Zouzou harks back to a twentieth-century nickname for a young woman with short hair, reflecting a blend of audacity and youthful exuberance. The scent itself is an intricate composition, blending notes of benzoin, tonka bean, patchouli, labdanum, vanillin, and musk.
Each element contributes to a nostalgic and boldly contemporary fragrance, embodying the rebellious spirit of Françoise Sagan, the subtle defiance of Jean Seberg in Jean Luc Godard’s films, and the iconic presence of the Velvet Underground’s heroines.
Zouzou joins Celine’s impressive fashion lineup following the La Collection Des Grands Classiques 08, marking another milestone in the brand’s legacy.
