Kicking off fall 2010’s Haute Couture Week, the Christian Dior show featured models gliding down the runway in full skirts, cinched waists and plastic covered heads. As always, John Galliano brought a sense of whimsy to the stage with bright colors and dramatic hair that tested gravity itself.

  1. Not a Galliano or Dior fan, but this collection worked. The colours are intense and clash but work so well together. The hair I can do without.

  4. Wow!Gorgeous colors, fabrics and silhouettes! Absolutely beautiful!!!Reminds me a lot of Christian Lacroix circa 1992…but Lacroix is bankrupt so this Dior collection is sort of an homage to him – viva Lacroix!

  7. The plastic covering their heads concerns me, but the colours are gorgeous. I especially love that first big blue skirt/dress.

  8. Ignorance is bliss. It is abviously a pun on flowers in a florist shop and wonderfuly executed. Brava Galliano.

Not sure if this is directed at me or not, but, yeah. I got that. Just the paranoid mama in me, but I was mostly joking anyhow.

  11. The pictures are spectacular: it is very rare to see a show happen in such wonderful and colourful surroundings. Once again, John Galliano amazes. The items are wonderful too. I am surprised to see that John Galliano seems out of favour with so much of the media these days! I think he is the best fashion designer England has ever produced.
