Sarah Burton found inspiration in London’s Great Dixter gardens for Alexander McQueen’s spring-summer 2018 collection. Presented during day 8 of Paris Fashion Week, the English designer opened the show with a selection of ruffle adorned gowns as well as floral embroidered trenches. Juxtaposing the hard with the soft, leather jackets paired with romantic folds and fitted jackets balance with cropped trousers. Outerwear focused on checkered prints and metallic styles in oversized silhouettes. Knitwear featured sequin floral embroideries. For evening wear, lightweight gowns graced the runway made of sheer material and fitted bodices.
