Anna Sui embraces the color blue for her resort 2025 collection, drawing inspiration from pre-Raphaelite art showcased at the San Domenico Museum in Forli, Italy. Indigo and cornflower blue hues cascade over prairie skirts, ballerina mini-dresses, and granny dresses.
The lookbook styling leans into a 90s vibe with long dresses paired with calf-high boots and retro cardigans layered over blouses and polka-dot print skirts. The collection spotlights key fabrics like faux suede, printed velvet, and lace blouses, infusing a romantic touch.
Denim emerges as a prominent fabric for the season, featuring a reissue of butterfly appliqué boots from the spring 1993 collection and new butterfly Mary Janes. Graphic t-shirts and sweatshirts add a casual flair to the otherwise feminine ensemble.
Chunky fair-isle cardigans and oversized pullovers featuring a LOVE intarsia motif highlight the knitwear segment. Accessories play a significant role, with Erickson Beamon designing denim, black cameos, and hippy hats and bags showcasing tapestry and butterfly applique denim.
Following the Agatha Christie-inspired fall 2024 collection, Anna Sui’s resort 2025 collection continues to weave a narrative of romanticism and nostalgia.
