Since being announced as Burberry’s new artistic director in March, many have been waiting to see where Riccardo Tisci will take the British luxury brand. For the resort 2019 season, the Italian designer made an edit called, ‘B Classic’. The pieces were made by the in-house team with Tisci styling the pieces–his first designs for Burberry will be shown in the fall. Focusing on Burberry essentials, the season includes the iconic checkered prints, kilts and capes.

“I wanted to celebrate the beauty, heritage and legacy that I discovered when I first arrived at Burberry. ‘B Classic’ is an edit that I’ve curated to honor the icons of the House – pieces like the trench coat, the quilted jacket, the car coat, the kilt – which sits at the heart of the SS19 pre collection designed by the fantastic Burberry design team,” Tisci says about the collection.
