Called ‘Paris La Nuit’, Hedi Slimane’s debut collection for Celine’s spring-summer 2019 show is reminiscent of his time at Saint Laurent. Foreshadowed with a reset of the brand’s Instagram account, Slimane makes his vision clear–Phoebe Philo’s Celine woman is no more. For the new season, the French designer offers up party dresses full of sequins, poofy hemlines and dramatic ruffles.

Leather jackets, slim-fit pantsuits and fur jackets round out the wardrobe. Young and youthful, the new Celine woman looks for a night out on the town complete with biker boots and veiled hats. For the finale, six paillette adorned dresses come in 1980’s inspired silhouettes including bold shoulders.
