Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2019 Collection Channels Ancient Egypt

Joanna Elizabeth / Published December 21, 2018

For Chanel’s pre-fall 2019 Métiers d’Art collection, the French fashion house presents a mash-up of Ancient Egypt and New York City style. The result is a collection which focuses on intricate embroideries as well as shimmering metallics. Karl Lagerfeld captures the official lookbook images which star models Vittoria Ceretti and Hyun Ji Shin. Elongated tweed jackets, denim pieces and sparkling gowns serve up a contrast of elegance and street style. For footwear, Chanel offers gold leather boots featuring bejeweled heels.
