H&M Studio’s spring-summer 2022 collection is all about bold styles. There’s nothing subtle about these ensembles, from laced-up denim to a leopard-print swimsuit. There are also over-the-top pieces like studded denim micro skirts and ruffle-trimmed mesh tops that recall late 1990s excess. Neon-green snake earrings, chain-link necklaces, studded platform clogs, and red Western boots stand out for accessories.
Each piece in the collection is produced from more sustainable materials like recycled polyester, polyamide, and wool. Reto Schmid shot the spring 2022 campaign for H&M Studio with styling by Georgia Pendlebury. It features model Devon Ross shot on location in London.

“There’s a new mood of exuberance in the air making us all want to dress up in fabulous clothes again. It’s reminiscent of the va-va-voom spirit that defined fashion in the 1980s up to the early 2000s. For the SS22 collection, we wanted to bring powerful, big-personality fashion back into the spotlight, offering versatile pieces that will inspire joy.”
Creative Advisor at H&M, Ann-Sofie Johansson
“For SS22 we had boundary-breaking musical muses on the mood board. We were inspired by their commitment to swerving clichés and expectations, both in their clothes and their attitudes. The collection is all about no-holds-barred fun, intended to help our customers build their very own optimistic new look,” Concept Designer for H&M Studio, Linda Wikell says.
