Tom Ford starts off New York Fashion Week with a bang for his spring-summer 2019 runway collection. The press release cites that the American designer wants to focus on wearable clothes that are beautiful rather than trendy. The show opens with a trio of black looks including fitted jackets as well as leather, curve-hugging skirts.

For spring, the Tom Ford woman embraces a streamline silhouette in a color palette of blush pinks, bare nudes and of course–black. Models wear headscarves for a minimal look while eyes are smokey and dark. For the evening section, Ford juxtaposes leather bodices with slinking gowns.
