Valentino is a Floral Feast for Fall 2018

Joanna Elizabeth / Published March 8, 2018

Flowers were in full bloom at Valentino’s fall-winter 2018 fashion show presented during Paris Fashion Week. Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli looked at romanticism paired with strength for the new season. The collection started out dark with black and white looks paired with oversized floral motifs at the shoulders and bodice. The silhouette of the season was relaxed yet structured with dreamy gowns and coats in chic layers. Piccioli introduced color with powder pink, scarlet red, emerald-green and yellow. For the finale, models such as Kaia Gerber and Rianne van Rompaey wore floor-length gowns embroidered with blooms in empire silhouettes.
