Fashion and nature intertwine seamlessly, courtesy of Zimmermann’s spring-summer 2024 collection, aptly named Natura. The brainchild of creative director Nicky Zimmermann, this collection is a vivid tapestry of visual symmetry borrowed from nature’s own design book, as well as the tactile allure of 3D naturalist sculptures.
Models hit the runway, swathed in a kaleidoscope of colors—floral prints, ruffled hemlines, ombre prints, and sheer layers that the top designer brand masterfully assembled. But Zimmermann doesn’t stop at the ethereal. The collection also nods to the nostalgia of the 2000s, with long dresses elegantly styled over jeans.
Lace patchwork finds its place, too, offering a textural counterpoint to the lush florals. For those who lean towards the understated, the line serves up leather tanks, sleek bodysuits, and oversized blazers, pieces that can exude quiet luxury with ease.
The Zimmermann spring 2024 color palette is a tribute to the softer hues found in nature—think lilac purple blooms, peach pink sunsets, and mint green leaves. This collection is a natural evolution from Zimmermann’s fall 2023 line, which drew its muse from 19th-century artwork.
Nicky Zimmermann revealed the inspiration behind the key prints in a statement: “For key collection prints, we were drawn to the lovely, unexpected color combinations of abstract landscape colorists and mixed these with the more scientific mood of classic botanist art against clean white backdrops.”
In a world where fashion often looks to external extravagance for inspiration, Zimmermann’s Natura collection turns inward, finding its muse in the simple yet complex beauty of the natural world. It’s a stylish journey worth taking.
