Published April 19, 2010

Inspired by a shoot featuring then lovers Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin, photographer Mario Testino attempts to recreate the passion and eroticism found in the original 1974 series with Italian artist Francesco Vezzoli and Daria Werbowy. Published in the latest issue of Vogue Paris with styling by Carine Roitfeld, La Decadanse is one steamy affair.

  1. Very sexual and provocative, but not sleazy. I love it. Not too many "couples" editorials get my attention, but this one did for sure.

  5. It all looks staged and awkward, but god forbid anyone do anything but fawn over the pretty shiny photoshopped people.

  7. Why it is becoming so common to see one model thru'out a whole issue? Like Daria in Vogue Paris May, Vodianova in Vogue China or Naomi in Vogue Russia

    • its probably cheaper..buy in bulk! If you buy an 3 or 4 issues in a row you can also see an overlap in models; one is the cover model one omonth then the next month it is the model who had an editorial the prior month, in Australian Vogue anyway.

  9. Very much inspired by Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg! I love Daria in this. Not too interested in his ugly hand as he creeps into Daria's panties. Yikes, hands of an old man.
