American designer and former model L’Wren Scott was found dead in her New York City apartment earlier today. In what looked like an apparent suicide, her body was discovered by her assistant at around 10 AM ET. The designer, who launched her label in 2006, was known for dressing clients including Julia Roberts, Oprah, Madonna and Nicole Kidman. Scott was 49 at the time of her death and the partner of rock musician Mick Jagger.
