Inspired by the masters of Flemish paintings, creative director Raf Simons ushered guests into a garden of delights for Dior’s fall-winter 2015 haute couture collection. The runway show was a story of contrasts. Light and dark. Hard and soft. Innocence and sensuality. The result was a lineup of at times ethereal looks in vibrant pastels while other moments embraced dark and layered cloaks for the opposite effect.
“I wanted that feeling of the sensuous and luxurious to be implicit within the collection,” Simons says in the official press release. “At the same time the innocent, gestural and personal should also be there – I have repeatedly been inspired by the gestural quality of Mr Dior’s work.”
