The Draped Silhouette – For Donna Karan’s pre-fall 2013 collection, the American designer focuses on structure and voluminous shapes for the transitional season. A neutral color palette of black, ashen grey and ivory hues complement the draped, cocoon-like shapes of Karan’s outerwear pieces. The sculpted jackets are contrasted by body-conscious, feminine silhouettes including pencil and circle-skirts. Evening wear looks remain demure with lengthened, sometimes sheer skirts and cropped silk tops. / Photos by Seth Sabal, Styling by Nicoletta Santoro
