Photographer Arale Reartes delivers self-portraits captured in different locations around the globe for Elle Mexico. Featured in the glossy’s June 2020 issue, the mostly black and white images are captured in places such as Los Angeles, Kyoto, and San Sebastián. Due to social distancing, we have seen self-portraits taking the spotlight for magazines, lookbooks, and even campaigns. Reartes titles this project, Rooms–a series where she shot herself in different places in the world.
