With a focus on day wear, Elie Saab’s spring-summer 2016 collection saw the designer bringing a different take of his romantic, red carpet fare. Take for instance, the introduction of bomber jackets on the runway. It girls Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner hit the catwalk in cropped versions, one in bold stripes and the other in a floral print, but both where layered over dreamy ruffle and lace embellished dresses. Or focus on the gamine style tops tied with ribbons and scarves for a chic effect.
But it was not all casual, Saab also showed his traditional evening wear with glittering, floral and striped printed, embroidered styles. Closing the show, Jenner wore a black jumpsuit decorated with paillette sequins, featuring a transparent cape to match.
