‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ actress Elizabeth Olsen is the May 2015 cover star of FASHION Magazine. Wearing a top and skirt from DSquared2, the blonde actress looks ready for spring. In her interview, Elizabeth opens up about feminism, social media and millennial stereotypes.
On her role as the Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron:
“One of the reasons why I liked her so much was because no one gave her tools to understand how powerful she is.”
Her outlook on feminism:
“Feminism has been such an obsession and no one really knows what definition anyone is talking about. It’s such a hot topic. Of course, women should have equal pay—I care about being equal to anyone else. [The word equality] is a very important part of the history of women’s rights.”
On social media:
“I don’t [use] social media, and I feel like that’s how people control their image. My image, in my mind, is just to disappear. I just want people to see the work that I’m proud of. I feel like you let people touch you when you have Instagram or Twitter, and I don’t want to be touched all the time. I’m not going to do it—ever.”
