The late Karl Lagerfeld captured Fendi’s spring-summer 2019 campaign. Starring Kaia Gerber, Adut Akech and Anok Yai; the studio images feature miniature stairs inspired by the Fendi headquarters. Leather outerwear, denim pieces and graphic prints stand out against a minimal backdrop.

“Karl was very much inspired by our stairs at Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome. It’s like a mini version of the beautiful stairs, a kind of metaphysical idea of that”, says Silvia Venturini Fendi. Following the passing of the creative director, Venturini Fendi who previously solely designed accessories is said to be taking over ready-to-wear design.
