Life isn’t meant to always be so serious, and jewelry is the perfect outlet for me to express myself as subtly or extravagantly as I’d like. I feel that wearing even the smallest piece of jewelry helps accentuate a woman’s style and adds a touch of polish to her overall look.
Beauvais shares that jewelry has been important to her since childhood, “I have always loved fashion and being creative with my style. Growing up, I used to watch my mother experiment with jewelry and fashion, so it’s been a big part of my DNA since I was a young girl. It feels like a natural evolution for me to take this step and it’s a fantastic way to express my creativity. ”
She continues, “Naturally, I was very particular about making sure that the pieces in my collection reflected my personal aesthetic as a woman. If I had to describe the collection, I would say it is classic, chic, bold, sophisticated, on-trend, and modern!”
Old Hollywood also served as a major inspiration for the actress. “Since childhood, I’ve always been intrigued by the lavishness and opulence of Old Hollywood, and the effortlessly chic women of a bygone era that I would see on TV and in magazines. Given the newfound obsession with reimagined narratives in history from stories like Bridgerton or Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, I can’t help but think about a reimagined narrative that include women that look like me, a woman of color, with a commanding role at the decision-making table.”
Garcelle continues, “This collection is a visual homage to some of those iconic Slim Aarons photographs but mixed in with the drive to challenge that Old Hollywood power circle stereotype. My friendship with Roni Blanshay and her eponymous New York City-based jewelry brand felt like the perfect partner to help me explore what a woman in power looks like, and how to do it in style.”
She also sees different types of women wearing these designs. “From Rodeo Drive to Madison Avenue, I’m creating my own reimagined history with a carefully curated collection of jewelry pieces that can give a little sparkle and loads of confidence to any woman, from breakfast to the boardroom.”
With over 100 pieces in all, finding her favorites isn’t easy. “It’s so hard to pick, because I love entire collection! But, if I have to choose my top three, I’d say they would have to be the Marmont Swarovski Earrings, Laguna Pearl Necklace, and the Pallisades Red Earrings. Each piece is subtle but glamorous at the same time through mixed metals, Swarovski crystals, genuine pearls, and more. They have the ability to enhance a red-carpet look or add a little special touch to jeans and a t-shirt, which I love!”
The campaign images feature Garcelle serving true Hollywood glamour in power suits and bombshell dresses. She shares about the experience: “The shoot was incredible. It took place at a quintessential Italian villa in Malibu, where the scenery was gorgeous, and the architecture was breathtaking.”
“Combine the incredible location with some of my favorite looks from some incredible fashion designers and my Garcelle x Roni Blanshay jewels, and you have the perfect setting for a day of dress-up. I would love to go back there for another shoot and explore some of the additional rooms and amazing outdoor spaces,” she reveals about the shoot.
And when asked about jewelry styling tips, Garcelle shares the best advice: “Just have fun with it! Life isn’t meant to always be so serious, and jewelry is the perfect outlet for me to express myself as subtly or extravagantly as I’d like. I feel that wearing even the smallest piece of jewelry helps accentuate a woman’s style and adds a touch of polish to her overall look. It makes us walk a little taller and smile a little bigger to know that we’re wearing something beautiful.”
We have seen Garcelle turn out some fantastic looks during her two seasons on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. We asked her if being on the show has changed her approach to dressing, and she shares, “No, not really. I’ve always loved fashion and the freedom it gives me to express myself. I think that as the trends and times change, it’s only helped to evolve my style, and I love the opportunity to find and wear my own translation of myself and how I’m feeling that day, that moment!”
Speaking of RHOBH, the star also shares what it was like coming back for a second season. “I joined RHOBH without having ever done reality TV before so, the first season was a big shock but coming back for season 2, I was able to relax and feel a lot more comfortable with the ladies. It’s also given me the chance to form some amazing friendships, some that I envision continuing for many years to come.”
And Garcelle is staying busy with a new podcast and more. She shares, “I am always working on multiple projects at any given time. In addition to designing & launching Garcelle x Roni Blanshay, I am co-hosting on the daytime weekly talk show, The Real. I’m also working on my podcast Going to Bed with Garcelle which talks about sex, relationships, and everything in between! It’s incredibly fun and definitely not for the faint of heart!”
