Versace unveils a first look at its fall-winter 2016 campaign and the results feature a new direction for the Italian label. Top models Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid play well-dressed moms in a diverse campaign photographed by Bruce Weber, on location in Chicago. In an interview with the New York Times, Bruce Weber reveals the inspiration behind the campaign.
“Donatella [Versace] was really into the idea of taking the men and women she designs for and putting them in the world where you work, you go out with your family, you live. It’s always funny to me that people think fashion photography is all about showing the clothes. It’s not. It’s about reporting.”
The images were photographed on the street and studio with sporty vibes from the collection’s knitted sweaters, leather miniskirts and plenty of Versace handbags. In all, the advertisements feature 27 models with 17 being casted from the street.

Flashback – Versace Spring 2016 Campaign
This is not Gigi Hadid’s first campaign for Versace. Last year, the American beauty appeared in the Italian fashion brand’s spring-summer 2016 campaign alongside Raquel Zimmermann and Natasha Poly. The trio were photographed by Steven Klein in salt fields in California’s Salt Flats.
