Giorgio Armani titled his fall-winter 2016 collection ‘Black Velvet’, named after the material that was so prominently featured in the runway show. Although black was a main color, Armani also embraced a variety of hues from moody taupes to dreamy pastels. The silhouette is relaxed with long jackets layered over cropped trousers flared at the ankle.
Around halfway through the lineup, Armani introduced rich florals, painterly in design with pajama style tops and bottoms. For evening wear, the Armani woman sparkles with strapless, black velvet gowns embellished with a touch of sequins and featuring cutout details. If an event calls for pants, there are still quite a few options with his signature suit work.
