Forgoing its usual Paris slot, Givenchy headed to New York Fashion Week for a spring-summer 2016 collection which had creative director Riccardo Tisci embracing romantic style with a contemporary gothic edge. Tisci revisited past collections with familiar offerings including delicate lace, graphic stripes and tailored tuxedo jackets. Lingerie inspired looks were the main takeaway from spring–robe like jackets and sheer dresses with delicate embroideries promise a tranquil season ahead.
