It was not hard to see that with his debut, fall-winter 2015 womenswear collection at Gucci, newly instated creative director Alessandro Michele aimed to take the label in a different direction. The more mature and sexy look of Giannini’s Gucci woman was gone and instead replaced with a younger, lighter approach. Relaxed, pajama-inspired suiting took over the runway, as well as pleated skirts and airy dresses. Michele featured plenty of sheer and fur stylings for autumn. Paired with berets, fur-adorned slippers, and oversized glasses, the Gucci woman is reborn as a girl who has a penchant for nostalgia. Only time will tell if this new direction is what the brand needs in this era.

  2. My God! This show gives me a pain in the ass. The models look so ugly! The whole thing is dowdy, creepy and utterly weird. Nobody in his senses is likely to wear such a crap. Where are the Gucci elegance and sexyness???
