H&M is teaming up with New York-based designers Ev Bravado and Téla D’Amore to celebrate the legacy of iconic artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. This artful collaboration brings together the late artist’s rarely seen artworks while celebrating his impact on young Black creatives.
Bravado and D’Amore’s stained glass motifs also round out the line. The 30-piece collection boasts diverse designs, including a corset top, hoodies, t-shirts, a dress, and tailored jackets.
H&M x Jean-Michel Basquiat Collaboration
Each piece is a work of art, from bold statements to sleek sophistication. And the best part? The collection drops on August 1st at hm.com and select stores.
The campaign images are just as striking, featuring models Jazzelle and Alton Mason posing against a marbled backdrop while showcasing the fashion-forward designs.
Standout pieces include a black blazer adorned with Basquiat’s scribbles about jazz legends Charlie Parker and Miles Davis and luxe black leather trousers inspired by “Untitled (Ideal)” and “Untitled (World Famous).”
Designers Ev Bravado and Téla D’Amore are thrilled to bring Basquiat’s art to the masses. “For us, Basquiat has always been an influential and larger-than-life figure. To comb through his archives and select rarely referenced artworks is a blessing.”
They continue, “The Basquiat estate has been super supportive of our unique vision. With H&M, we can share this collection with the world, making it ten times more special.”
