Gaultier’s Graffiti FallJean Paul Gaultier was out in full riotous form for his namesake label’s fall 2012 showing presented during Paris Fashion Week. Inspired by the eighties power dressing with a few elements of punk thrown in, the autumn season was steeped in sharp tailoring and bold, graffiti style prints. The spray paint theme was even present in the models’ hair where straight tresses were airbrushed various colors near the root. Fun patterns contrasted against layers of sexy suiting and coats embellished with rich fur, metallic fabrics and leather. Despite the retro influence, the Gaultier woman strikes a perfect balance between sophistication and youth for the upcoming autumn.
