Jil Sander Fall 2014–Back in October, Jil Sander abruptly announced that she was leaving her eponymous label. Without a creative director in place, the fall-winter 2014 show had to go on, and it did so with an outing of sleek minimalism made by the house’s design team. The color palette for the season is fairly soothing–there is plenty of black, pink, grey and light blue. Deceptively simple dresses are decorated with unexpected folds and pleats as well as asymmetric hemlines. Coats are sculpted with high collars and no embellishments while wedged heels are the shoe of choice for the Sander woman’s fall.
