Jill Stuart offers classic staples with a playful twist for its spring 2011 collection. Featuring all the polished refinement of the Upper East Side with a hint of quirkiness found in the models’ disheveled hair and the garment’s whimsical prints, New York Fashion Week finds a sense of delicacy and lightness with Stuart’s latest line.

some models are similar to Jason Wu, don’t you think so?
A bit of Marc Jacobs, a slice of Prada, touch of Celine, part of Chloe… a can’t stop counting

this is derivative of so many other designers, I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed.
Sweet and sassy is all well and good, but it was when Stuart ventured into downright sinister that she really shined. A tuxedo with perfectly tailored silk cigarette pants, a cape dress with a 60s spy movie silhouette: these were the pieces that stood out as exceptional couture.
