Three years after his controversial anti-Semitic remarks got him ousted from Dior, John Galliano gets another fashion job as the new creative director of Maison Martin Margiela. Galliano will head the brandā€™s womenā€™s, menā€™s and couture lines. Earlier this year, the designer opened up about the stress of the job which led him to use alcohol, and what he called “professional suicide”. ā€œMargiela is ready for a new charismatic creative soul,ā€ said Rosso, president of OTB, which owns Maison Martin Margiela via WWD. His first collection for the brand will be in January during Paris Couture Week spring 2015.

  1. I am very excited to hear this. I always loved John’s work. Although I don’t agree with his statements and the scandal was quite disgusting, I think it would be a shame to let his talent go to waste by not sharing it with the world.
