Lady Gaga appears in the March issue of Vogue US looking tame, for Gaga at least. Photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Tonne Goodman, the musician dons a pink wig and the designs of Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton, Haider Ackermann and others in Our Lady of Pop.

  1. finally! a high fashion Vogue US cover! i wish they would use actual models instead of celebrities all the time… but Lady Gaga is amazing!

  2. I like the idea of putting Gaga on the cover, but the hair cut just does not work…it gives her a horse face and makes her look like a man…those pix also let down my expectations…I thought there would be more fireworks with Gaga, but turns out its just some decent editorials….

    • Exactly. The hair may not be flattering, but since when did this woman give a shit about what’s ‘flattering’.
And I’m glad she isn’t ‘pretty’ in the conventional sense, it makes her much more interesting, variety is a wonderful thing.
Having said that, the editorial is a little underwhelming/short. The only shot I love is the 1st one in the wheat McQueen dress.

  3. The haircut is not flattering, but overall this is great!
I was actually happy to see that it wasn’t too over the top and more like a high-fashion editorial, something different from Lady Gaga

  4. i like the styling and love to see high fashion in american vogue but she is so ugly, they couldn’t have done this with a real model???

    • Where the hell have you been? When did US Vogue feature a model in the last few years??

And Gaga is FAR from ugly, just because it doesnt fit your “perfect” and “conventional” beauty standards. What a redundant comment.

  5. Agree, the haircut is realllly unflattering on her face. I don’t like her in the bright solid colors, either, I think she looks more beautiful in the elaborate dresses.

  9. All you folks that are calling her “ugly”, look yourself in the mirror. Im sure your better looking. Because of people like you, young women and men suffer extreme self-esteem issues. Shame on you.
Not everyone is cookie cutter, toothpaste selling, Sears catalogue “pretty”. Get over yourself. This is THE best US Vogue cover in years!!

    • You have to admit that this isn’t the best shot of Gaga. And yes, compared to this, I’m sure even a grazing cow photographed properly would look better. I know beauty isn’t about being conventionally pretty, but they have failed to capture her quirkiness, which is the very essence of Lady Gaga herself.

  11. I’m not really loving Gaga in this. Whether it’s the hair, the dead eyes, or the different variations of the same facial expression in every photo, I’m just not a fan of this.

  14. I wish she would have more expression in her face. She could…I don’t know, scream or something. Otherwise, I like.

  15. WOW its amazing how Vogue can dull anyone and anything. You’d think that Lady Gaga would add some exciting, but leave it to Anna. At least she’s consistent =/

  17. I absolutely love the settings for the two McQueen gowns! But what happened to the rest? Just blank background? What a waste of our majesty QUEEN OF POP!

  18. Despite Gaga not being a model, she is a fashion icon, and I like what she is doing for the world. We need to be more open to new fashion in America. Gaga has an interesting and unique face, she is beautiful in her own right, this is a great editorial.

  19. sry but testino is not the right guy to shoot that kind of stuff. and especially gaga. got to shoot her way more rough!
