For Louis Vuitton’s cruise 2016 outing, creative director Nicolas Ghesquière created a collection of languid ease–appropriate considering the Palm Springs, California, location. Once again, the designs featured shades of the 70s ranging from the color palette to patchwork effects to relaxed silhouettes. However, it was not dated by any means. The Vuitton woman is shot into the future with shades of metallics, criss-cross belts, cocoon coats and tribal prints.
Midriffs are also in for the cruise season, with many looks featuring cropped tops. For his finale, Ghesquière traded in evening wear for billowing maxi dresses and blouses. The last look went gothic chic with a black leather and lace ensemble.
