Louis Vuitton brought a bevy of Eastern inspired pieces to the final day of Paris Fashion Week with a glittering and vibrant spring 2011 collection. Designer Marc Jacobs presented a collection of full on drama and camp; a daring contrast for a season seeped in quiet minimalism. Models walked down the catwalk in jewel tone satin, feminine lace and animal prints. Some were put in pairs or even trios with embordiered fans in hand playing on the Eastern influence.

So over-the-top. Fall was so demure with Mad Men inspired shapes and soft colors while this is so loud, LV doesn’t really have a voice. Colors are amazing tho.

Marc did a really good job with this, it’s really fun but still chic. The colors and textures are great!
This collection reminds me of the 1932 film Shanghai Express with Marlene Dietrich and Anna May Wong.
