Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2015–If you thought the Marc by Marc Jacobs girl would go the glam route just because it is spring, you are wrong. For their second collection for the brand, Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley created something that is a cross between punk and raver style with bandeau tops worn over t-shirts, white jumpsuits a la “Clockwork Orange” and harness details. However, this tough girl also has a soft side. Bright yellow and blue hues broke up the masculine elements with polka dots, chunky Mary Jane platforms and rain boots. For the finale, the Marc girl defies gowns for short, asymmetric dresses that feature pleats and folds on one or both sides mimicking the effect of two dresses sewn as one.
