Marc Jacobs fall 2011 show seemed to be a rehash of the old and the new. On one hand, there was an obvious vintage influence found in the 40s’ silhouettes, yet at the same time there was a certain futuristic undertone with metallic and other lustrous materials on display. Another highlight was the polka dot motif repeating everywhere from hats to patterned stockings. Offsetting the dot overload, Jacobs also offered form-fitting garments of lace. Far from matronly, the pieces were as seductive as they were lady-like.
incredibly sophisticated, j’adore. one of the best shows of NYFW

A lot more edgier than any of his recent stuff. Its all very perverted lady like dressing. I love it.

Oh, just horrible.
I like very much!
I think it’s too much. I just don’t see the class anymore.
This collection took a while to win me over, but I see it now.
