For spring 2008, Jacobs collaborated with artist Richard Prince for Louis Vuitton. The designer made a riff off of nurse uniforms inspired by the painter’s work.

The spring-summer 2012 runway show for Louis Vuitton featured a massive carousel setting and was closed by supermodel Kate Moss. Jacobs’ feminine frocks had a slightly sixties aesthetic.

For spring 2013, Marc Jacobs once again enlisted an impressive setting for Louis Vuitton’s runway show. Models showcased looks as they went down escalators in matching ensembles.
Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2014
Marc Jacobs’ final show for Louis Vuitton painted it all black. Showgirl luxe ensembles featuring beaded embroideries and embellished rosettes decorated jackets and gowns.
Sometimes the identities of the two brands (Marc Jacobs and LV) haven’t been so clear, but… all in all, a nice journey (even if I personally regret more Ghesquière leaving Balenciaga).
