Marni’s Modern Woman – For its pre-fall 2013 collection, Marni aspires to make clothes fit for the hustle and bustle of today’s concrete jungle. The result is an impeccable outing which juxtaposes military attitude with feminine touches. The transitional season features menswear staples such as double-breasted outerwear, slouchy trousers, parkas and duffle coats. On the softer side, there are pleated skirts, floral prints and metallic leathers. Accessories are functional yet stylish–featuring double-strap boots, fringe-decorated loafers and oversized totes and clutches. A color palette of pastels, burgundy, army green and charcoal brings a playful tone to the pre-fall separates.
