Katrantzou’s Blooming Garden – Greek designer Mary Katrantzou brought an expert display of pattern and color for her spring 2012 collection presented during London Fashion Week. Spring was a story of nature and industry, with inspiration by sculptor John Chamberlain who is noted for working with crush steel and other found objects. Katrantzou’s designs were indeed structural yet feminine for the new season with some of nature’s most glorious colors on display. Beauty for the show featured brightly colored lips and a messy up do.
I’m not usually a prints person, but these are very nicely done! I would definitely wear many of these pieces. The only thing I don’t like is the color blocked flowers… a little too harsh.
Interesting to look at, but none of the pieces make me think “I want to wear that”.
love the blue lips amazing and the patterns on the garments are fantastic so unique and gergous

It’s true that these designs are not easily accessible or wearable, but I believe they transcend that. This is something that makes people dream and inspires them to create, even if it’s only to create an outfit that echoes the spirit of this collection in a simpler way. In any case, I think Ms. Katrantzou is a very powerful designer.
I love the colours, prints and shapes! Wonderful job!
Amazing as usual, the most beautiful prints!!!!
