Max Mara celebrates its 70th anniversary with the Italian brand’s fall-winter 2021 campaign. Captured by Steven Meisel, it stars models Malgosia Bela, Steinberg, Amar Akway, Jits Bootsma, Mona Tougaard, and Chloe Oh. A diverse lineup comes together for a series of elegant portraits captured against a grey backdrop.
Styled by Carine Roitfeld, tailored coats, knit sweaters, and printed headscarves stand out. Some designs have the year 1951 embroidered, marking the year of Max Mara’s founding. For beauty, Pat McGrath works on makeup for the shoot with hair by Olivier Schawalder.

“The Max Mara woman is like a queen. She has led the way since 1951, when Achille Maramotti founded Max Mara with ‘solicitor’s and doctor’s wives’ in mind. An excellent decision. Because those strong, determined women went on to establish themselves in the workplace. And Max Mara has always been at their side,” the brand states.
