The Now Look – For his fall 2013 collection, Canadian designer Mikhael Kale is inspired by the work of Nan Goldin’s photographs from the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. “I have always admired Goldin’s work…Whether [the subjects] are hopeless addicts or vulnerable mothers they are ethereally connected by Goldin’s ability to expose their emotion. I felt that I had to dig deeper with this notion of emotional unravelling, and it is in this context of unravelling that I began experimenting with knit ware,” says Kale. Contrasting the modern and vintage, Kale offers an outing of sleek silhouettes and knitwear separates. Delphie Laforest models the new collection in lookbook images photographed by Felix Wong.

Lovely post. I like him and his creations
I do’nt like the shoes either. They look plastic. The garments are gorgeous and I would like to have the first four delivered to my house…pronto. 😉
yep, the ugly Frankenstein shoes are ugly and too heavy with the outfits. Superb workmanship. Sorry all of them are to be delivered to my house NOW!!!
